Visang Education, the global education & culture company, (KOSPI 100220, CEO Tae-hoe Yang ) exports an English education program to the UAE and Egypt.
On the 17th, Visang Education announced that a contract with Ketondo Group UK Limited, an UK based integrated education service provider, was signed on December 4th. The companies are going to supply “ELiF”, the interactive digital elementary English program and “Challenge”, the experiential English reading program, to educational institutions in the UAE and Egypt from the end of December.
This contract was made through the “BETT Show 2020”, formerly known as the British Educational Training and Technology Show. Visang Education participated the show with the support of National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) in January before the spread of COVID-19. The final agreement was brought about through continuous online meetings and negotiations after export consultations with Ketondo at the show.
The contractual term is the minimum guarantee with the one-year term length.
Woogun Hur, the director of the Division of Global Business Development & Strategic Alliance said “As the global education market is rapidly transforming into a contact-free learning environment due to the COVID-19, the two companies are planning to build a long-term partnership watching the response from the field for one year.”
Ketondo as an UK-based IT solutions company, is expanding its education business through its subsidiary, Smartistic Education Technology, using the UAE and Egypt as a base.
With this contact, Ketondo will supply ELiF and CHALLENGE to local educational institutions in the UAE and Egypt, such as international schools, international kindergartens and accredited education institutes, etc., from the new semester.
Woogun Hur, the director of the Division of Global Business Development & Strategic Alliance added, saying “Ketondo is showing an interest not only in English but also in digital mathematics education programs that are being developed by Visang Education, so we expect there will be further opportunities for additional contracts. In addition to the UAE and Egypt, we are also working on exports to the UK and Saudi Arabia, so it will be an opportunity to promote K-Edu to more countries in the future.”
Visang Education was awarded the newly established "K-Service Special Top" at the 57th Trade Day Ceremony hosted by Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy, and Korea International Trade Association on 8th December. The award in the EdTech category was given in recognition for the contribution to spreading ‘K-Edu’ and exporting Korea's excellent education programs to various countries such as China, Vietnam, Canada, Paraguay, Myanmar, Qatar, UAE, and Egypt.
